Glen Lewis Frey, born on November 6, 1948, in Michigan, Detroit, showed a passion for music from an early age when he learned to play the piano as well as the guitar.

Frey was married twice in his life. His first marriage to Janie Beggs lasted between 1983 and 1988. After this, he went on to marry Cindy Millican in 1990 with whom he had three children, Taylor, Deacon, and Otis.
