Debbie Wasserman Schultz was born in New York City, New York, on September 27, 1966, to her parents Larry Wasserman and Ann Wasserman. She is the sister of the Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Wasserman.
She completed her schooling in 1984 from Long Island’s Half Hollow Hills High School East. She has earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in political science from the University of Florida.
