  1. I too small survivor of a narcissistic mother. I’m only 4’10”y’all and weigh 140 lbs. My mother will more then likely give her fortune to the cat foundation before she would allow my sister or myself to have $1.00 of it. I’d very much like to speak with Ms Christina Crawford and ask how she got started in writing about her story about Joan Crawford her mother? I too am in the same position and my mind is made up I’m am writing the book. I will expose my narcissist mother to the world in a tell all book that makes Joan Crawford look like Mother Theresa!! I need N agent and publisher and I’m hoping to have some advice and guidance from Ms Crawford. I’m 52 years young but have endured enough abuse to last several lifetimes. I can be reached at The email on file

  2. Hi there Christina,
I just saw “Mommie Dearest” for the third time It always saddened me to see your mother act so cruelly to you. I graduated from the same school you attended, Chadwick School. My mother taught piano and my father was the school photographer which paid for my brother’s and my tuition. The lady who played Mrs. Chadwick in the movie didn’t look like the real Mrs. Chadwick whose hair was white. I am looking at all your pictures on Google, and you are truly beautiful, far better looking than your sick mother.
Wishing you fulfillment and happiness, Joanne Evens

  3. Dear Christina,
My condolences to you on the death of your dear little brother. I hope he was able to find a happy life.
No one will know the depth of your life, except you. The movie Mommy Dearest is hard to watch.
I know you are not a young woman but I wish you happiness each and every day.
You are definitely a survivor of abuse.
God bless your days and nights.

  4. You sent me a greeting once when I ordered the bigger copy of Mommie Dearest. It is in my scrapbook. My childhood friend and I had mothers (mine was narcissistic) we didn’t bond with. Our lives had to be easy and there’s never been a structure or a straight line. My friend died last year. It took me this year to figure out the whole thing. I eat right and have always exercised, so I think I can manage. I remember my boss’s Jewish mother found me reading your book in the store and made my life miserable after that (joke).

  5. Christina
I’m so very sorry this happened to you. To be so abandoned, to have no avenue of safety is so hard to bare. Youth has so little power and to be so abused it’s amazing you are able to live with these memories.
I wish you peace, and thank you for being an advocate to those who still today suffer parental abuse. Blessings!
