Bryan Holland was born in Garden Grove, Orange County in California in the United States of America. He lived with his parents was the third born in the family of four children. Bryan attended Pacifica high school in Garden Grove, California. Later joined the University of South California and earned a degree in biology and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. In 2017, he was awarded a PHD degree in Molecular biology.
He started is a musical career in 1984 where the formed a band called Manic Subsidal with is cross country teammate Greg K, where he played drums.

Dexter Holland started is musical career at a young age of 19 years when he and Greg K started a local punk band called “Manic Subsidal.” Holland was the drummer in the band. The band changed the Name to “The offspring” in the year 1985.
In 1988, the band signed a deal with the label “Nemesis Records,” and subsequently 1n 1989 released their debut full-length studio album named “The offspring.” After the initial release, the album was not a huge success. Some of the songs released in the album included; Kill the president- which ran into several controversies, I’ll be waiting and Blackball.
The album was reissued in the year 1995 by Nitro records and had moderate success. In 1991, The Offspring signed with Epitaph Records.
