Aaron James Judge was born on April 26, 1992, in Linden, California, United States. He was adopted just one day after his birth by Patty and Wayne Judge, who worked as teachers in California. He has an elder brother John, who is also adopted.
Judge completed his schooling from Linden High School, where he excelled in three sports, baseball, football, and basketball. Later, he attended the California State University, Fresno, to play for the baseball team of Fresno State Bulldogs that won the WAC Tournament and qualified for the 2011 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

Aaron Judge started his professional baseball career in 2013 when he was drafted in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft. However, he did not play in the 2013 season as he tore his quadriceps femoris muscle.
Judge made his debut in 2014 in the South Atlantic League for the Charleston RiverDogs. He played 65 games for Charleston and averaged .333. Later, he was promoted to the Tampa Yankees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League. In 2015, he was chosen to represent the Yankees at the All-Star Futures Game.
Judge made his MLB debut in 2016 against the Tampa Bay Rays. He hit a home run in two consecutive matches and became the second Yankees player to homer in each of his first two major league games.
