Early Life

In 1987, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter met each other when in Lycée Carnot, Paris. Following that, they began to record demo tapes.

In 1992, they teamed up with Laurent Brancowitz to form the guitar-based group ‘Darlin’’. They branded themselves as ‘The Beach Boys.’ They were later invited to stage shows in the UK. The group got soon disbanded, and following that, Brancowitz exited from the duo.

Both Homem-Christo and Bangalter has also released solo singles and albums. They were influenced by music from various sources. They are noted for their visual components, which are associated with musical productions.

They have appeared as a featured artist for The Weeknd’s “Starboy” and “I Feel It Coming.” The duo has also released 18 music videos.
