Eric got his first skateboard sponsor from a company by the name of H-Street, which was co-founded by Mike Ternasky and Tony Magnusson. His team included Matt Hensley and Danny Way. Koston did not stay for long with the company as he sought a larger entity, prompting his departure from the company.
In 1992 he joined 101, and after working with them for two years, he joined the Girl team. During this time, he appeared in the videos like Pretty Sweet, Goldfish, Yeah Right, and Mouse. For several years Eric was the leading rider in the team for the eS brand. The brand held “Eric Koston eS Game of Skate” annually for several years. He also appeared in an eS video called Menikmati, in which he returned to his motherland Bangkok.
