Joe, who has allergies, was driving one day, and the allergies were suddenly triggered, and this led to a sneezing fit, leading to him losing control of his car and almost crashed.

The First Defense Nasal Screens have been tested in the laboratories, and they have been found to be up to 92% effective on particles with the size of 1 micron. The First Defense Nasal Screens has, over the years, been considered as simple, practical, and cheaper solution protection for pollutants, allergens, bacteria, and viruses.

Inception

After Joe Moore got a near-fatal allergy attack while on the wheels, he got inspired to search for a lasting solution that would prevent similar episodes in the future, and this prompted him to evaluate several options. He first chose the face masks, but he found them bulky and uncomfortable since they were not very effective.

After several trials and errors, Joe eventually came up with the nose filters, which he called the First Defense Nasal Screens. The filters became one of the kinds, and people started getting to know about them. He was determined to make his company get global, but like many other businessmen, his great idea needed funding, something he did not have.

In order to get the funding he so much needed, he pitched his idea to the sharks on the Shark Tank. This was in the second episode of Season 2. His initial idea was met with ridicule from the sharks. This was to quickly change after Joe revealed to the sharks that he had sold millions of units, and he also had orders for more millions of units.

After the sharks hearing that Joe had already sold some units and had orders for more, their ridicule quickly turned into offers, which included the one from Robert Herjavec for $4 million for the entire company. Joe refused the offer, but he later stated that if the offer had been for $10 million, he would have taken.

Finally, Joe took a deal from Kevin, Daymond, and Mark worth $750,000 as a loan for 30%, which included a 10% royalty. He also got seasonal tickets to Dallas Mavericks games.

Evolution

After leaving the Shark Tank, Joe noticed that he had gotten several contracts from overseas, especially the East. Putting this into consideration, he decided to walk away from the Shark Tank deal and build his empire on his own. Looking back, this seems to be the best decision he has ever made because he achieved great success, and today, he is a self-made millionaire.

As of today, First Defense Nasal Screens has been made available in more than 50 countries globally. Patents have been issued in the US, China, Japan, Europe, Canada, and India. Joe’s company has grown tremendously due to the demand for its products in Asia and the Middle East, where air pollution has been a problem for the longest time.

  1. We are moving and I found one of the First Defense packets among all the stuff I have stashed over the years. Was interested when I got the sample at a consumer show or whatever, so I looked it up and saw Joe got a deal on shark tank and since went on his own and is successful in many countries with a company estimated worth of $50M. Love a American success story and hope to get into something after we finish this move…..peterc
