Jennifer Michelle “Ginnifer” Goodwin was born on 22nd May 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee. She is the oldest daughter, Linda Kantor Goodwin and Tim Goodwin, a recording studio’s former teacher and former owner, respectively. The family follows the Jew religion, and Jewish religion played a significant role in Goodwin’s life.
Both her sister, Melissa Goodwin, and herself were brought up attending the first unitarian church and temple Israel. Both the sisters were baptized and, as per Jewish religion, held a Batmitzva service when they came of age.
