Early Life
Tardar Sauce, aka Grumpy Cat, is a female who was born on 4th April 2012 to a Calico mother and an unknown father. It belongs to a mixed breed of cat but has dominant traits of Felis Catus species.
The cat is owned by Tabatha Bundesen. The duo can be seen sharing pictures of each other on each other’s Instagram. Tabatha and Grumpy are very close to each other, which can be seen if anyone who looks at the pair cuddling together.
It received its nickname as Grumpy Cat, because of its facial appearance, which is permanently set at a Grumpy facial demeanor, which was initially caused due to an underbite and feline dwarfism.
Unfortunately, Tardar Sauce died at her home in the arms of her owner Tabatha following complications from a urinary tract infection on May 14, 2019. Her death was announced on May 17, 2019, on social media, and she was mourned by many people across the globe.

The cat reached its initial stardom by appearing in the Friskies YouTube game show called series ‘Will Kitty Play with It?’ In 2013 Friskies made Grumpy Cat, their official Spokescat, organizing photo shoots, luxury travel services, and royal treatment for the cat, for wherever she visited to promote the show.
The Cat also has an official book under its name called ‘Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book,’ which was launched in 2013 by production house Chronicle Books.
Grumpy Cat also received royalties for all the merchandise which dozens of popular brands are selling with images or memes of the cat.
In 2013 Grumpy Cat appeared in a documentary called ‘Lil Bub & Friendz.’ In 2014 a movie was made surrounded the cat herself titled ‘Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.’
