His per episode salary was $100.00 – really?
looks like they copied article and badly
For his role in the Warner Bros in 1956, he received around $2000 per week.
In 1974 he was paid around $100,000 per episode in The Rockford Files
From 1985 to 1989 his annual salary for television and radio spokesperson for Mazda cars plus one Mazda vehicle was $1 million.
I think there are a few errors in that article!!!
He confirmed in the ’50s that he was receiving $1,250.00 per week for Maverick so I’d say he was getting more than $100.00 per episode for the Rockford Files!!!
I heard James Garner say he was paid $500 a week during the first season of Maverick. This was when he appeared on The Dick Cavett Show. (I believe it was Dick Cavett. It could have on The Johnny Carson Show)
