Jason Garrett followed his father’s footsteps when he joined Princeton University and started as a quarterback. He later joined Columbia University and played for the teams winning against various teams. When his father resigned as the head coach of the Columbia University team, Jason Garret, together with his brothers, moved back to Princeton.
He commenced his career professionally after being signed by the New Orleans Saints as free agents. He later became the assistant coach of Princeton in 1990.
