  1. Bells and whistles church for those who like this kind. If you like me have grown weary of having pastors manipulate attendees into giving money, just keep your guard up to make sure you want to stay. I dove right in but regret getting my heart involved as today the pastor separated us. Those who are giving are extraordinary. Well the folks on the other side were left without any title. I will never be extraordinary enough to attend this “cool” church I already know, but I did try to reach out before I left. All I got was a response of defense that pastor didn’t do what I was inferring. Listen to the message 10.25 to judge for yourself. Part of what I said, ” I beg and plead on a platform like this please do not guilt people into giving. tithing with a grudge prevents blessings from God. He only wants cheerful givers and believe me I am. when I have it to give. I pray this badgering is not a common practice, but on this topic: the best approach I’ve ever witnessed is when a pastor said our boxes are in the back. we only want cheerful givers. all others we are willing to return your money if you realize you did not give cheerfully. That was Biblical what he said. However if guilting works for Churchome like it does for so many other pastors out there, you are personally responsible for robbing the tither of their blessing cuz God don’t want no giver who didn’t give from the heart. That money is no longer tithing; it’s now better coined “membership fee”. the last few weeks were fun, but I refuse to be cajoled into being obedient to my God. That’s His job thank you very much! And all this attention to Black Lives Matter???? Are you only seeking the wealthy side of BLM to cater to? Not sure if you all realized but poverty is rampant amongst the Black community? Are these the folks you are catering to or just those who are Black but who can also pay to attend your church too? I do question the motive behind your sudden interest in a plight that is older than you and your daddy, but then suddenly now that it’s popular you are all over it? A little fishy if you ask me, but God is your judge not me. Just as He is the one who convicts my soul to tithe, NOT YOU!

    • Thank you for being as transparent as you were here. May God help ALL of us who are called by His name to be moved by His Word, His Spirit, and kindness rather than the pressure and manipulation of men. I DID go to a church such as you describe; now I go to a church that frequently neglects to mention the tithe and giving…The atmosphere is very different in the two places.

  2. Well it certainly is an interesting approach! Given that MisterJudah has amassed over 60 million dollars! I must wonder why HE doesn’t give away some of his money to do good. There are pastors..for example…Charles Stanley..who have worked their entire life and never accrued this kind of wealth. Oh wait…that’s why we go after the celebs? The rich and famous who can be guilted into huge tithes?! Oh that can’t be right. And can’t miss the connection between these pastors…Chad Veach…Carl Lentz (now disgraced)…these churches seem to be popping up all over the place. But alas..boy there are problems. Hillsong now looking into all kinds of abuses. Very sad. Cult like following. Wake up Christians!
