Inception
Krewella was formed by the sisters, Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf with producer Kris Trindl in 2007. The father of Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf is of Pakistani descent. Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf, and Kris Trindl used to study at the Glenbrook North High School. It was on the 8th of June 2010 that they decided to give up schooling and career to dedicate themselves completely to the success of the band. The three of them have “6-8-10” tattoos to honor the day. The band was signed by the popular Canadian independent electronic music record label, Monstercat, in December of 2011.
