Clark was born in 1953 on 31st August to Rozlyn and Abraham Kleck. Her birthplace was Alameda, California. Her parents gave her the name Marcia Rachel Kleks when she was born. She was raised in a family that was Orthodox Jewish. Her father was the Food and Drug Administration’s Chemist.
