Mark Warner was born to Robert F. Warner and Marjorie Johnston warner on December 15, 1954, Indianapolis, Indiana. Mark developed an interest in politics while he was in school. His social studies teacher, Jim Tyler, encouraged him to work for political and social change during the boisterous year of 1968. He grew up in Illinois and in Connecticut later. He completed his graduation from Rockville High School.
Warner further completed his studies from George Washington University with a degree in political science in 1977. He also was a valedictorian of his class at George Washington University. He was one of the first to graduate from his family.
