For 14 years, Mike played professional basketball with different teams, With Vancouver Grilles being his first NBA team. He played for them from 1998-2003 before he was traded to Sacramento Kings. His performances with Sacramento Kings during 2002 western conference finals earn him a seven years contract worth $80.5 million. 2002-03 season was a difficult one for him as injuries restricted him to 55 games only.
Though he recovered and continued to do well, Kings’ form deteriorated, and on 16tn February 2008, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for four of their players.
