  1. Richard Thomas is a fantastic actor who I have followed since his role on The Walton’s. Right now I am watching him on Law & Order and again he is so believable in his role. I also saw a Christmas movie several years ago which featured Mr. Thomas and again he was fantastic in his role.

    • My best friends grandpa is Richard Thomas her name is Sophia Thomas and her mom is Barbara Thomas her aunts are the triplets and her house has a whole bunch of clowns in it .

  2. The Walton family cast has got to be the most perfect casting of an entire family in the history of television. Definitely my all time favorite television series. I wish they would have another reunion….my suggestion would be the opening scene would be at the cemetery showing the grave markers of the deceased family members and a few words said about each one with some flashbacks. The second scene would be Mama (Michael Learned) in the kitchen preparing for all of her children’s arrival including the real life spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Once each family has arrived have a meal and have each child tell his most memorable or favorite episode with flashbacks. Someone else will have to come up with a suitable ending. I wish the series could have gone on forever.

  3. Since I’ve retired and Covid has hit my afternoons are spent with the Walton’s on INSpiration channel 121. Central time they start at 2:00p.m until 4:00p.m. One show right after the other. I love the show, the actors, the era that they are in, I can go back with them Monday thru Fri. I think we are so lucky to have such wonderful shows like that. I love it.

  4. My wife and I relished Richard’s performance on the Tabernacle Choir program with Kelli O’Hara, and I recalled being a near neighbor (two or three blocks) when my family and I lived in Hollywood from 1986 to 1989 as I pastored the First Congregational church of L.A. I saw him once or twice in a line at the supermarket, but didn’t want to violate his privacy by introducing myself. Now I would love to connect with him by email. I live in Warrenton, VA, and sometimes pass the area where the Waltons were said to live.

  5. I have always loved Richard Thomas…I too watched The Waltons growing up with my family. I love his role as Richard Evans in the hit classic hallmark Christmas film….1995,,,”The Christmas box.”,…with Maureen O’hara and Annette O’toole. It’s the best Christmas film I Love!! I watch it every Christmas season. It’s a must see!!! It shows the real meaning of,,Family!!! Please watch it!!! If you have not seen it. Blessings and a Merry Christmas to Richard and his family.

  6. I look at John boy as a most kind and loyal young man
His character is always energetic and fun to watch … the stories of the Walton family are always solid gold and leave a positive message every show…..and often times a tear or two.
Thank you for the great stories. Leif.
