Stephen William Hawking was born in 1942 on 8th January to Frank and Isobel Hawking. His father died in 1986 at the age of 81 while his mother succumbed to her death in 2013 when she was 98 years old. His birthplace was Oxford, England.
His parents did not come from wealthy families; both of them attended the University of Oxford.
