Has Tom ever thought of writing a book on tanning?, because I surly would buy a copy, love your show.
Tom Oar is one of my favorite on Mountain Men. I love his humble way and his wife Nancy is a gem. They are a great couple, and I know their children are rooting for them but would like them to come live in Florida. Tom’s artist abilities and research in the Indian ways of beading and tanning are second to none. He actually found and bought an old book from years ago that gave instructions on how to do beading and tanning in the primitive ways which he learned from. Nancy‘s ability to make that fine fur coat was a wonderful episode to watch. I particularly loved the way she said measure 30 times and cut once as you cannot go to the fabric store and buy another skin. These two are the best and I’ve learned so much watching them. Hi I live in Clermont Florida and I think they are residing somewhere near me. I fantasize about finding out where they live and meeting them they are my heroes and mentors. I am 80 and in no way ready to give up. Would love to meet them would just love it!
