On November 1, 1966, Willie D was born to Alfred Deboest and Marvelous Dennis in the city of Houston, Texas. His father was a carpenter and construction worker by trade, and his mother was a cafeteria cook for the Houston Independent School District (HISD) for several years; both his parents are deceased.
Willie D was named after his maternal grandfather, he was raised by his mother in Houston this was after his parents separated when he was just four years, and that’s where he most of his childhood days. Willie has stated in interviews that both his parents were alcoholics and that his mother was physically and verbally abusive. In as much as he had a strained relationship with his mother, in 1991, he took his first large paycheck from his music royalties and bought a four-bedroom house for him while he was still living in an apartment.
Willie D as well took in his father to live with him when it was discovered that he had lung cancer before he succumbed to the illness, in as much as he never saw him while growing up.

Willie D married Bridget Bonier on September 3, 1994, who is a mechanical engineer; their wedding was a private ceremony on a yacht in Clear Lake City, Texas. The couple has two children together, Caen, who was born on April 26, 1995, and Blake, who was conceived on July 8, 1999. Their marriage did not last long because they got a divorce in the year 2010. He has four siblings, namely; Karen Williams (half), Warren Vann (half), Ernestine Dennis, and Isaac Dennis (half).

Being a rapper Willie D`s reputation reached J Prince, who is the founder of “Rap-A-Lot-Records,” and at the time, he was looking to bring back or revamp the “Geto Boys,” and he knew that Willie D would be a key part in bringing the group success. J Prince brought him on board together with Bushwick Bill and Scarface. The three first came out as Geto Boys in 1989 with their gold record “Grip it! On that other level”. It contained songs like Gangsta of love, do it like G.O, Size ain`t shit and read these Nikes; they were all penned by Willie D.
Willie continued to record a line-up of critical and commercially successful solo and group albums and in cooperating the Geto Boys “We can`t be stopped,” it featured “Mind Playing Tricks on me” which was co-written by Willie D. he has also featured on other songs like; down south hustlaz, substitute teachers. Willie released ”Hoodies” and the song went viral and which became an internet hit. The song is a tribute to Trayvon Martin, a teenager who was shot by a neighborhood watchman.
Apart from his rapping he also has a career in boxing, Willie D began boxing at the age of 11, and he won the Golden Gloves for the state of Texas in 1985. He chooses a career in rapping overturning professionals, but in the long run, he went back to boxing during the ’90s.
